Around 50 heavyweight industry figures inspected Stoneleigh Park last week to help set the agenda for the UK’s National Shooting Show, returning this May. The tone of the day was clear – innovation, ambition and excitement were front and centre.
Here are just a few of the announcements and outcomes to emerge. But this is just the beginning – watch this space in the coming weeks for more exciting developments.
E.J. Churchill and George Digweed Lead the Charge
Quick to take action was Rob Fenwick of E.J. Churchill, in partnership with George Digweed MBE, confirming that their largest-ever away championship, the National Masters with George Digweed, will debut at the National Shooting Show.
Rob commented:
“Going to Stoneleigh has evoked great memories. The facilities there have inspired our largest away competition to date. Prizes so far include a fully bespoke Kemen shotgun worth £15,000 or an incredible £10,000 prize pot, a highly creative course, and Stoneleigh’s central location will undoubtedly draw the crowds – and I can’t wait to see it unfold.”
George Digweed added:
“The UK’s amazing shooting sports need a central place to celebrate, participate and be seen – alongside a great showcase of products, experts and a great day out. The National Shooting Show at Stoneleigh gives us that, and a focal point each year where we can all come together.”
Rally Clays Finals Come to Stoneleigh
Also joining the momentum is Simon Reinhold, mastermind behind Rally Clays, who confirmed that the Rally Clays Championship Finals will now take place alongside the National Shooting Show.
Simon said:
“Stoneleigh is set to provide a ‘festival of shooting’. With so many disciplines and formats in one place, we’re keen to be involved and showcase our Rally Clays format to the masses. Expect a gathering like no other.”
“In this fast-paced new format competitors go head-to-head reloading at speed until the other shooter misses and the point is over. It’s exciting both to shoot and to watch.”
